The Vale of Decision, Book 1 of the Shadow Scrolls series, follows the adventures of young Jonathan of Scharp, and the girl of his dreams, Jacqueline of Marshai.

A stormy night, swept away from the relative safe haven that are the realms of Irenay, Jonathan wakes up in the miasmic, titanic city of Gish, and the plight of its zomb'd people.

Jonathan becomes enfolded in an insurgent assassin group called the Shade. With meteoric rise, Jonathan becomes hero to the city. Waiting for him at the top, a serpent's sting and a prison's cell.

Can hope and the light of redemption rise out of the ashes of a life poorly chosen?
